Ramparts, moats and bustling city life

Welcome to the forgotten Kingdom of Kotte. The inner city of Kotte was surrounded by a rampart built with laterite rocks, a crocodile-infested moat and a marshland built in the 15th century. This was primarily a military base. Walking through this populated area, you will be amazed to see the old rampart’s remnants scattered across a large area.
